What can movement look like?
Last time we talked about connection.
Connection with ourselves.
Connection with others.
Connection with our community.
Since then, I would like to build on it more …
How do we connect with our bodies?
As someone who has spent years practicing medicine, I was taught to look at the body through a clinical lens. While at the same time, losing connection with my own bodies needs and wants (forgetting to eat or even pee).
As a coach—and honestly, through my own health journey—I’ve come to appreciate something else.
Our bodies are constantly communicating with us.
Sometimes through energy.
Sometimes through tension.
Sometimes through fatigue.
Sometimes through illness.
Sometimes through a quiet whisper that says…
“Slow down.”
Puppy cuddles
I’ve also been learning to see movement differently.
A gentle stretch between meetings.
Standing up after sitting too long.
Walking outside for five minutes.
Taking a few deep breaths while rolling my shoulders back.
Movement doesn’t always have to be intense to be meaningful.
Sometimes it’s simply another way of reconnecting with ourselves.
One of the beautiful things I’ve learned from our recent Village guest speakers is that caring for ourselves doesn’t happen in just one way.
Kelly reminded us that nourishment is about much more than food.
Kiana showed us how sound can help regulate our nervous systems.
And this month, we’ll continue that conversation through movement.
I’m so excited to welcome Kim Gray, M.S., Certified Exercise Physiologist and Health Coach, to The Village.
Together we’ll explore how movement can become a realistic, sustainable part of everyday life—not another item on the to-do list, but a simple way to support our nervous systems, shift our energy, and care for ourselves in the middle of real life.
Kim will also guide us through a gentle movement practice that you can return to whenever you need a reset.

If you missed our conversation with Kelly Teal on the nervous system and gut health, the replay is still available inside our Village Membership page.
It’s the perfect companion to this month’s conversation because both remind us of something simple, yet profound:
Our bodies are always speaking.
The question is…
Are we listening?
As always, if you’d like a place to continue these conversations between gatherings, I’d love to welcome you into our Village Tribe.
It’s a space where we can encourage one another, share resources, ask questions, and simply stay connected.
As always, if you’d like a place to continue these conversations between gatherings, I’d love to welcome you into our Village Tribe.
It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of this community—a space where we can encourage one another, share resources, ask questions, and simply stay connected.
This week, before you ask your body to do more…
Maybe ask it a different question.
“What do you need from me today?”
You might be surprised by the answer.
With gratitude,

P.S. If you know someone who could use a gentle reminder that self-care doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing, feel free to forward this email. We’d love to welcome them to The Village.
