If you’ve been putting yourself last
Can I tell you who I think about every time I plan a Village gathering?
The woman who almost doesn’t come.
The one who sees the invitation…
and immediately thinks,
“I don’t have time.”
“Maybe next month.”
“There are too many other things to do.”
“Everyone else needs me first.”
I know that voice.
I’ve listened to it myself.
For years, I believed caring for myself was something I would do after everything else was taken care of.
After work.
After parenting.
After the laundry.
After everyone else’s needs were met.
The problem was…
there was always another “after.”
Loving the vibrant colors
Over the past few months in The Village, we’ve explored so many different ways of reconnecting with ourselves.
Through understanding our nervous systems.
Through nourishment.
Through sound.
Through community.
And this month, through movement.
And movement can become another way of saying to ourselves:
“I matter too.”
I’ve realized something through creating The Village.
Women don’t need one more thing to do.
We need spaces where we can simply be.
Where someone else holds the space.
Where we don’t have to have the answers.
Where we can slow down long enough to hear ourselves again.
That’s what I hope The Village is becoming.
It hopefully isn’t another meeting on your calendar.
It’s a place to come home to yourself.
This Saturday, I’m so excited to welcome Kim Gray, who will help us discover how movement can become a realistic, gentle practice that supports our bodies and our nervous systems in everyday life.
There won’t be pressure.
There won’t be perfection.
There will simply be an hour to breathe, move, reconnect, and gather together.
🌿 The Village: Movement That Fits Your Life
📅 Saturday, July 18
🕗 8:00–9:00 AM PST
📍 Free on Zoom
If you can’t attend live, the teaching portion will be available via replay.
But if you can join us in real time…
there is something powerful about being in the room together.
If you’ve been feeling triggered…
reactive…
or just a little disconnected from yourself lately…
This space is for you.
Come as you are.
No fixing.
No pressure.
Just space to understand… be.
I would love to see you there 💖
