You Could Feel the Shift

Our last Village Gathering felt different.

The world outside hasn’t slowed down.
Life is still full, fast, and sometimes overwhelming.

But inside the room, something shifted.

We began the session by acknowledging something simple and honest:

We cannot live in fight or flight forever.

Many people arrived carrying stress, heaviness, and the quiet exhaustion that comes from living in survival mode for too long.

Before we started, I asked everyone to pause and check in with their nervous system.

Where are you right now?

Then we practiced.

Gratitude.

Not as a performance.
Not as a way to ignore what’s hard.

But as a way to regulate.

Together we explored how gratitude works inside the nervous system:

  • How gratitude strengthens neural pathways

  • How the brain reinforces whatever we rehearse repeatedly

  • What gratitude actually feels like in the body

  • Gratitude for our past selves who carried us through hard seasons

  • Gratitude even for fear when it tries to protect us

Then we moved into integration.

We paused.
We breathed.
We worked on letters of gratitude to our past selves.
We allowed our bodies to settle.

And something remarkable happened.

At the end of the session, I asked everyone to check in with their nervous system again.

The shift was tangible.

Calmer.
Softer.
More grounded.
More steady.

And then the messages began to arrive.

“Thank you for a wonderful start to the weekend.”

“Thank you for creating this beautiful community, Priyanka. I’m grateful for this container today.”

“Grateful to you for sharing your knowledge, your personal experiences, and for creating this safe space.”

“Thank you for the space and the beautiful meditation.”

“Very rejuvenating session.”

Reading these messages reminded me of something we talked about during the gathering.

Receiving gratitude.

Many of us are quick to deflect appreciation or minimize it.

But part of this work is learning to receive it.

So today, I’m practicing what I teach.

I receive your gratitude.

And I celebrate what we created together.

Because this is what becomes possible when regulated nervous systems gather in community.

If you missed the gathering, you can watch the replay here.

And if you’d like to experience the space live, our next Village Gathering is coming up soon.

📅Next Gathering: March 21

Each time we gather, we practice tools that help our nervous systems settle, reconnect, and return to steadiness.

Because regulation deepens with repetition and community.

And if you feel ready to take this work deeper…

My 12-week Transformational Parenting Group begins this March.

Inside the program, we practice nervous system regulation, explore generational patterns, and learn how to respond with intention instead of reacting from old triggers.

The goal is simple but powerful:

Helping parents become the steady leaders their families need.

The work we’re doing matters.

The ripple effect is real.

The time of the lone wolf is over.

We gather.
We regulate.
We rise together.

With gratitude,
Priyanka
